Long Term Aims
To promote the study of our Surnames
( If you find any more variants please let me know)
To Publish a quarterly newsletter “The Featherstone Family News” (now in it’s 74th edition)
To build a web site to convey our research ( tell us what you think so far)
To get all Featherstone Researchers as members of The Society
To Hold a Family Reunion (It took five years but finally in May 2002)
To collect all known references to the name from all records available.
Short Term Aims
Produce a quarterly newsletter for members (now produced for 19 years 4 issues a year)
To spread the word via web search sites.
Collect, B.D.M. records for the U.K. (1837-1900) now complete and in our database) Now collecting additional years some are already on site.
Collect all records in the IGI (Now complete for UK).
To encourage members and others to display their research in our database.
